Neighbourhood Centres

The Bundaberg region is home to several neighbourhood centres that serve as vital community hubs, offering a range of support services, programs and activities. Here’s an overview of the main centres in the region.

Bundaberg and District Neighbourhood Centre is located at 111 Targo Street, Bundaberg South and is open from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

This centre acts as a central point for information, advice, and referrals to various support services. It offers programs such as literacy and numeracy support, migrant settlement assistance, speech and occupational therapy.

The centre also offers playgroups and provides free services like printing, form completion, and internet access, and hosts community events to educate residents about available services.

Meanwhile, Gin Gin Neighbourhood Centre is jointly funded by the Bundaberg Regional Council and the Queensland Government, this centre focuses on building community inclusion and cohesion. It offers services such as occupational and speech therapy, support groups, tailored short-term support through Community Connect Workers

The centre serves as a trusted space for people to connect, participate, and access various supports.

And let us not forget Childers Neighbourhood Centre. It provides a range of community support services in line with its Gin Gin and Bundaberg cousins.

If you need help, the local neighbourhood centres are a good place to start.
